Sectoral Legislation is Harmonized with EAEU Common Rules
1 / 2

The parliament debated in the first reading the legislative package on Amending the Law on Medical Aid and Service for Population, on Making Addenda to the Law on Licensing and on Making Addenda and Amendments to the Law on State Duty at the regular sitting convened on June 14.

The RA Deputy Minister of Health Armen Nazaryan informed that the adoption of the drafts aims at creating bases for clearer and more comprehensive regulation to regulate the circulation of medical products, ensuring the harmonization of the RA legislation with the EAEU common rules.

It was noted that the purpose of amending the Law on Medical Aid and Service for Population is also to adopt relevant legal acts of the EAEU and to make those acts part of the law of the Republic of Armenia.

The NA Standing Committee on Regional and Eurasian Integration endorsed the draft.

According to the co-rapporteur Shirak Torosyan, the adoption of the package does not envisage a significant increase or reduction in the expenditures of the RA state budget.
